Design and optimization of Novel Recycled Geopolymer-WOOD composite materials for non-structural and energy efficient applications
Progetto The NRG-WOOD proposal aims at innovating the state-of-the-art of geopolymeric materials, proposing a complete, integrated, and
interdisciplinary pathway for the development of a material and its application:
1)developing a new methodology for the integrated design of geopolymer-wood composites, based on process parameters and
target requirements, obtaining a new formulation suitable for hydronic radiant panels
2)providing an integrated set of characterizations, measuring key thermal, mechanical, and acoustic properties
3)optimizing the design of a radiant heating and cooling system with a geopolymeric layer with thermal and energy simulations
4)performing Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and sustainability impact
