The paper reflects on the museum user-experience by focusing on the adoption of new technologies. The use of these tools changed and is still changing the relationship among objects, people and spaces. The museum, conceived as a conservation and safeguard place, is at the same time an institution in the service of society and its development. As educational medium the museum communicates the contents and the values of the collections through a variable process centralized on interests and different needs of visitors.
