The building characteristics of mediaeval Trento are still recognisable today in its fortified architecture. By examining the building techniques of this period, the aim is to offer an overview of the actors and material traces of the city's building revolution. Recognition of these signs is the basis of some recent restoration projects carried out in an interdisciplinary manner and allows us to reflect on aspects of the conservation and protection of the city's architectural heritage.
