Il rapporto tra tempo e progetto è centrale nel lavoro di ogni architetto, ma è, al contempo, fondamento generato dalla tensione tra costanza e mutamento, nucleo creativo che caratterizza ogni architettura del passato che permane nella memoria disciplinare e diviene riferimento per la cultura di tutte le epoche.
Tra le eccellenze di Iuav l’Archivio progetti rappresenta un centro di documentazione di
grande importanza in quanto raccoglie un rilevante frammento della cultura architettonica
italiana del passato. Manca altresì un luogo dove elaborare, raccogliere ed esporre i disegni e i modelli che rappresentano la ricerca operante in architettura: i progetti di laurea realizzati dagli studenti a coronamento dei loro studi. È questo un patrimonio di idee che può costituire un ‘Contro-Archivio progetti’ orientato al futuro.
Tra gli edifici del campus di Santa Marta, l’ex convento delle Terese può essereripensato come cardine di riorganizzazione delle sedi Iuav in rapporto allo spazio pubblico del sestiere di Dorsoduro. / The relationship between time and project is central to the work of every architect. But it is, at the same time, the foundation generated by the tension between constancy and change, the creative nucleus that characterises every architecture of the past that lingers in the disciplinary memory and becomes a reference for the culture of all epochs.
Among the excellences of Iuav, the Archivio progetti represents a documentation centre of great importance as it collects a relevant fragment of the Italian architectural culture of the past. But, on the contrary there is a lack of a place to process, collect and exhibit the drawings and models that represent research in architecture: the degree projects realised by students as the crowning achievement of their studies. This is a heritage of ideas that can constitute a future-oriented
‘Counter-Archivio progetti’.
Among the buildings of the Santa Marta campus, the former Terese convent can be rethought as a pivotal reorganisation of the Iuav buildings system in relation to the public space of the sestiere di Dorsoduro.
