REGULATION, PLANNING AND COOPERATION AT SEA : A Focus on Eastern Caribbeans and Italy

In a moment of high interest and expectations for the opportunities offered by maritime spatial planning as enabler of sustainable blue economies and healthier oceans, this volume provides a comparative overview of the legal framework on this topic in the Eastern Caribbeans and Italy. The study aims to identify a set of suggestions to foster international cooperation and exchanges on maritime spatial planning between countries located in what are considered legally “semi-enclosed basins”, and that face similar challenges in terms of climate change threats.
