Abstract:
The “planning standards” decree number 1444, approved in 1968, was meant to create lasting assets on public lands to provide public services and facilities. These lands are recognised today as fundamental assets to be leveraged to serve, in concert, ecological and social needs. To do so an urgent shift in the perception of soil is required. The awareness of the need to regenerate the soil, to work on its thickness, is increasingly evident and seems to find a place within the "planning standards" decree and within the urban development projects involved.
