abstract:
The obligation of physical distancing due to the Covid-19 pandemic has subjected a large number of social, cultural, working, and educational practices to digital remediation. This issue of IMG Journal aims to reflect on the pandemic experience, its underlying conditions, and its potential legacies through the perspective of media theory. The curators' introductory text outlines the framework of the project, which aims to bring media studies into dialogue with other disciplines. The various contributors critically and analytically examine the very notion of spatial and temporal distance and its relationship to media and artistic practices.
