The emancipation of the Italian Jews and the Architecture of the Israelitic Templ

The paper deals with the architectural history of the italian Synagogues between the second half of the XIX and the first decades of the Twentieth Centuries, in relationships with the "battle of styles" and the influences of the Orientalism. The analyzed case-studies are Turin, Florence, Rom, Vercelli, Trieste.
