abstract:
The role of the digital storytelling in Cultural heritage is exposed in this paper through three elements: the right of public and universal accessibility, the responsibility to disseminate knowledge and the contemporary uses in cultural heritage. The paper investigates the topic from a legislative point of view (at international level) pointing new reflections about the limits and the opportunities of digital storytelling in the conservation design process. Starting from the widened definition of cultural heritage described by the Faro Convention the text explores the possibilities of and interaction (in contemporaneity) between the public and the cultural heritage from a tangible and intangible point of view. The main topic is to remark the role of digital storytelling as an important creative tool for social inclusion.
