Abstract:
Many and various are the paths that enliven contemporary graphic design.
Bolstered by a growing critical awareness of the tools they use and their
objectives, skilled at moving amid the different languages and media that
pervade our day-to-day lives, graphic designers are in the ideal position
to observe, inquire and interpret the world they act upon.
The Graphic Design Worlds exhibition, produced and organized by the
Triennale Design Museum in Milan (2011), has opened a window onto this
scenario by inviting over thirty graphic designers to exhibit their “worlds,”
their approaches, their visions.
Graphic Design Worlds /Words brings together the words that have
accompanied the making of this event. Alongside the voices of the graphic
designers themselves, the reflections of historians and critics serve as an
interesting counterpoint, casting
