Discipline. The sedimentary construction of the landscape of interiority

The node of vision-representation is the beating heart of architecture, the step before the project. Re-presentation implies a double focus:. awareness of the co-existence of a double plane; of both visibility and invisibility, otherwise re-presentation would make no sense. In fact it consists of moving something invisible to the plane of visibility from where it offers to be seen. What we normally see is but a small part of what is there, which is an important issue for architecture, and for which we should be aware that reformulating landscape means at first the reformulation of the landscapes of our interiority, namely of sensibility and vice-versa. This process is carried by discipline, which is the general collection of laws regulating the process of taking from knowledge to project through theory and image. Discipline is the way to reach the very limits of a knowledge, the possibility of moving it farther on.
