The relations between stilisti and entrepreneurs analyzed here was just one aspect, perhaps the most evident, of the creative and productive network characteristic
of the Italian fashion system in the period in question: 1960s-1980s. Reflecting on authoriality involves investigating the nodes and ramifications of this network by recording the voices of the people who helped to build and animate it. This makes it possible, in historical terms, to move beyond the approach to the discourses of stilisti as the only voice in this season of Italian fashion.
