abstract:
For Leonardo Benevolo, drawing is a tool for investigation and interpretation, offering not just an x-ray of a specific piece of territory, city or architecture, but a real means of design, the first strategic step towards environmental control. Benevolo’s drawings are always an investigation of the modifications produced by man in the environment. Reading his drawings constitutes a lesson in planning strategy, according to which design and project are two sides of the same coin.
