Venice future Campus : views from abroad

The university experience of the Alumni is closely linked to the atmospheres of some specific places on the Iuav campus, as well as to its peculiar connective tissue: the Venetian urban space. On the occasion of W.A.Ve. 2022, Iuav opened the cultural debate on the future of Iuav places to the Alumni Abroad through the promotion of two calls: the first for two visiting professor positions within W.A.Ve, the second for an exhibition on design explorations connected to the year’s theme. The representations of the Alumni Abroad, collected on the basis of a call for sketches, interpret the places of the university and their relationship with the city, visualising possible future scenarios. They are free visions, expressions of a thought filtered through daily confrontation with cultural contexts ‘abroad’.
