The effects of global warming nowaday overlap with the common problems of conservation, amplifying critical issues. The decrease of performance due to decay of materials, the lack in maintenance, the effects of inconsistent alterations further aggravate this overlapping phenomenon. It is urgent to deal with the issue of adaptability of historical constructions in order to develop a diagnostic and evaluation methodology convenient for the intervention phase, as well as to establish a maximum degree of transformability not to be overpass as for preserving the peculiar character of the given architecture involved.
