Stereotomic Virtuosities in the Staircase at the Castle of La Rochefoucauld

This research concerns the historical-geometric interpretation of the stereotomic apparatus of Château de la Rochefoucauld’s staircase (1520), using a survey carried out with laser scanner technology. The analysis also extends to the roof structure, hypothesizing a design process that was enriched by exchanges between French and Spanish stonemasonry masters.
