For a phenomenological-experimental interpretation of the locution “sensata esperienza”. The present article examines the meaning of the Galileian locution “sensata es- perienza” within an experimental phenomenological perspective. After considering the philological data, two interpretations of the expression “sensata esperienza” are discussed in reference to: i) the phenomenalistic approach and ii) the physical point of view. These interpretations do not resolve the following Galilean aporia: the “sensata esperienza”, a very important epistemological tool for Galileo, can often be disproved. For instance, the Coperni- can theory is the opposite of what it appears. The experimental phenomenological perspective offers a possible theoretical way to explain the aporia.
