Isole di memoria: i luoghi del confinamento a Venezia. Una lettura strategica per la conservazione dei frammenti urbani

The paper proposes a critical interpretation of places of isolation in the Venetian lagoon area, once known as the “sanitary belt”. A critical investigation of approaches and methodologies that in- volves the link between the historical evolution and the sense of place of these urban fragments has triggered the possibility of identifying possible long-term visions and future scenarios focusing on the importance of the social role in the decision-making process and valorization of the places’ characters.
